Kiosks
A kiosk is a set of credentials, not a device. You create one in Entris, then sign any tablet or computer into it. Two devices can even share one set of credentials if you want them to behave identically.
Creating one
- Go to Kiosks and choose New kiosk. Give it a name you would say out loud — "Main Reception", "Sports Hall".
- Entris shows you a sign-in address and a password.
- Write the password down before closing the dialog.
- On the tablet, open the kiosk link and enter those credentials.
The password is shown once
Entris stores it hashed and cannot show it to you again. If you lose it, re-roll the password — that issues a new one and signs out every device currently using it.
Keeping it signed in
A kiosk session lasts 12 hours, so a device left on will ask for its password roughly once a day. Set the tablet to stay awake and to open the kiosk link on boot, and put it in guided access or kiosk mode so nobody can browse away from it.
