Getting started
Entris answers one question: who is in the building? Everything else exists to keep that answer accurate.
There are three parts to it.
| Part | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Kiosks | Tablets by your entrances. Visitors sign themselves in and out; staff and pupils can sign in too. This is where almost all data enters Entris. |
| The dashboard | Where you see the live register, look back at history, run reports and configure everything. |
| The emergency roll call | A frozen snapshot of who was on site, used during an evacuation. It locks the kiosks so the register cannot change while you are counting. |
The shape of a day
Visitors arrive and sign in at a kiosk, choosing a reason and a host. Their host gets an email. A badge can be printed. When they leave they sign out — or somebody signs them out from the dashboard at the end of the day. Staff and pupils marked absent are cleared automatically overnight, so the next morning starts clean.
Where to start
If you are setting Entris up for the first time, do these in order: add your kiosks, set your visit and absence reasons, then invite your colleagues.
